Clausen Engineers has designed waterfront facilities for yacht clubs, residences, restaurants, and maritime contractors. Design services include floats, marinas, waterfront structures, breakwaters, promenades, piers, and a variety of other maritime structures. These projects range from very large developments to small repair jobs to specialty designs based on unique site constraints. We work with contractors and owners to resolve the unusual problems that are specific to this industry. Clausen Engineers’ wide range marine project experience has provided us with unrivaled expertise in negotiating permits for waterfront work with State and Federal agencies.

Our design services are supplemented by the fact that we own and operate a 250 berth marina and waterfront complex in Richmond. This is one of the most successful marinas in San Francisco Bay which provides us with a “hands-on” approach to our design and construction assignments.
